A precision longcase clock
"Fernamt Wien", heavy brass movement, weight driven, electric wind-up "Siemens & Halske", silver-plated dial with small second, blackened clock hands, Riefler Type K nickel-plated steel pendulum with regulator plate, 2 doors, the facing side with glass pane, fine wood clock case, thermometer, 207 cm, Germany ca. 1930, in very well maintained condition, no warranty for precision of movement and long term functioning, 1 pendulum, 1 weight, 1 crank, 1 clock case key, (HP)
The above clock was part of the long distance office’s central clock array ("Neues Wiener Fernamt" ca. 1930). As a state-of-the-art precision clock it original did not feature a dial. The present dial was added at a later date.
