South Caucasus, c. 207 x 148 cm, about 1870, a finely knotted carpet of the Nogai tribes from the Moghan steppe, three rows with six hooked staggered polygons each on white background with bright yellow main border give a note of naive charm to this piece, the side edges rebound, the upper section with low pile, both ends complete and original, no significant repairs discernible.
