Vienna, c. 1905, solid maple and maple veneer, black stained feet, the seats upholstered and covered with textile fabric, height 95 cm, width 40 cm, depth 50 cm, height of seat 48 cm. (DRAX)

Provenance:
from a prominent private collection in Vienna, until 2014; purchased in the early 1960s by the Viennese gallery owner Kurt Kalb. According to Kurt Kalb, the furnishings originally came from a room in a palace in Vienna’s Metternichgasse that was decorated by leading artists of the Vienna Secession between 1905 and 1910, including, among others, Josef Hoffmann and Kolo Moser.
