South Turkestan, c. 60 x 179 cm, c. 1880, the small blue-ground, hooked central motif has lost its star cartouche shape and is embedded with hooked strips within a rectangle, this former, large camel hanging is in superb pile condition with only slight moth damage, both ends and remains of the decorative fringes are preserved, side edges reworked.
