The present work has been conceived as a study for the work “Master Jazz”, 1982-83, by Robert Longo, which is currently held in The Menil Collection, Houston/Texas.

It‘s weird making a drawing of painting. I start to realize that charcoal is this incredibly fragile material. I‘m making images of paintings out of dust.
