H. 1971, and numbered 11/12, the 3 elements with 18 carat gold hallmarks, foundry stamp: Morris Singer Foundry, London, gold weight approx. 1.500 g, height 16 cm (including plinth), (PP)

The work will be included in the catalogue raisonné of Hepworth’s Sculptures currently being compiled by Dr Sophie Bowness under the number BH520.

Barbara Hepworth continued her studies of sweeping forms even into her last decade. This gold cast combines her late style with the brilliance of an exceptionally valuable material.
