designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Italy, c. 1942, manufactured c. 1950, brass cylinder, metal rods cased in brass sleeves to support the cherry veneered table top, solid cherry legs with black metal band inlays, height 77 cm, diameter 160 cm. (DR)
The present design was first published in Domus in 1942, as a model featuring a marble top and rosewood feet. Caccia Dominioni subsequently used this model again three or four times at the most, in different styles and for exclusive interior furnishing commissions. Each table was custom-made to comply with the wishes of the individual clients.
