A ceiling light, designed and manufactured by Aloys F. Gangkofner
for the Munich Allianz insurance company, Germany, 1983/84, nickel plated brass and globular transparent glass shades, diameter 85 cm. (MHA)
From a group of differently dimensioned chandeliers specially made for this building. A variant of this model was used for the Bavarian State Library in Munich. A. F. Gangkofner (1920–2003) headed the Glass Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich for more than four decades. In 1954 he was awarded a gold medal at the Milan Triennial.
