A Dolphin Airbus sculpture, designed by Luigi Colani for the Colani Design Corporation in 1968/69,


polyester, length 147 cm, width 120 cm, height 38 cm. (DRAX)

A unique item. Model for a transport plane.

For this future vision of a passenger plane furnished with 1.000 seats, Colani drew his inspirations from the aerodynamic form of a dolphin. An interesting idea are the turbines mounted above the wings, which bring about a condor effect and increase the range of the transport plane by 30 per cent.

Sold for the benefit of the Colani Bio Design Foundation.
