Bust of Queen Marie Antoinette, biscuit porcelain, circular bronze fittings on the base, apocryphal Sevres mark, Leconte, France, 2nd half of the 19th century, height 79 cm, slightly damaged - plastic flowers on the base, the hem and the flower in hair (Čo)



The Queen is portrayed at the age of 28 in an ermine cloak with a stylized lily flower motif (the symbol of the French royal majesty), decorated with an oval medallion with the portrait of Louis XVI, with rose, jasmine and lilac flowers in her hair.
Lecomte Felix - famous French sculptor from the period of reign of Louis XVI. In 1758 the Prix de Rome laureate; the marble bust of Marie Antoinette was created in 1783. It is currently placed in the Queen's Bedroom in Versailles. The offered bust is a copy that was made in the second half of the 19th century.
