Diana and Chronos, Diana sitting on a rocaille plinth with quiver on her back and gold bow in her right hand, holding the clock case with both hands, surrounded by small coloured flowers on sprigs of leaves and crown with light turquoise leaf rocailles, Chronos with open wings, base with wide and narrow gilt edging, the facing side with polychrome painted Watteau couple in a park landscape, in the foreground Diana’s hunting dog and a a child petting it, 4 volute feet heightened with gold, light purple and light turquoise with lavish decor of large and small flowers, on the side and reverse colourfully painted scattered flowers and bouquets of flowers, clock with white dial, gold Roman numerals and hands, the reverse side with closed case door, height 40 cm, width 22 cm, small chipped areas, movement unchecked, 1 key, Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords mark, second half of the 19th century, model no. 385, former no. 90, painter no. 20, model by Johann Joachim Kändler 1742 (Ru)
