Jaroslov Komon was born in Prague in 1958. After successfully completing his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker, he attended the College of Applied Arts in Prague and studied engineering at the local Technical University. In 1983, he fled from the CˇSSR to West Germany. He eventually founded his own restoration workshop in Munich and a carpentry workshop in the Czech Republic. He has developed and implemented numerous interior design concepts for private buildings in Prague, Munich, Geneva, Salzburg and other cities. In 2005, he also founded the ‘ArtKabinett’ manufactory in Pilsen, Czech Republic. Jaroslov Komon lives and works in Munich.
