Azerbaijan, c. 315 x 127 cm, 19th century. An early runner of the Shah Savan nomads in good colour quality. The three archaic crosses with arrowheads pointing to the side are usually found in soumak bags and are rare in knotted carpets. Evenly trimmed pile. Both edges have been reworked. (VP)
