Movement: manual winding, gilt pointed tooth lever escapement, numbered 36695, blued screws, 5 screwed chatons, diamond cap, compensation balance, two hammers on gongs, inscribed “By Special Warrants to the M. the Queen & the Prince of Wales”
Dial: enamel, Roman numerals, small secondJ. W. Benson is regarded as one of the most important English watchmakers. The high-quality finish is emphasised by the solid gold case. As a special feature, the inner lid has an engraving with various conversion measurements.
