Movement: key and crown winding, chronometer escapement via spring, cylindrical hairspring, blued screws, four screwed chatons, diamond cap, number 46151, compensation balance
Dial: enamel, Roman numerals, small second
The chronometer escapement was developed as early as the mid-18th century by Pierre Le Roy. It is a free escapement, which due to the reduced friction losses, achieved a higher precision of movement. It was used for pocket watches and had even greater importance for marine chronometers.
