The TV Landscapes are the offspring of a human gesture that is mechanically repeated and yet contains at its core an entire revolution - the digital one. Schifano feverishly photographs the television, subsequently printing his shot on emulsified canvas and modifying it with brushes, a frenetic investigation between eye, mind and soul. He returns it filtered, purified in colour, in order to make the world's inhumanity that pierces the screen at least acceptable.
