Southwest Caucasus, c. 240 x 155 cm, 19th century. Madder red inner field with graceful decorative motifs, two of the typical Fachralo medallions in marvellously abrashed indigo. The reciprocal latch hook border was adopted from carpets from the neighbouring village of Bordjalu. With slightly trimmed pile in places, a few professional repairs, in good condition. (VP)
