According to one of Aesop’s fables, Mercury visited the workshop of a sculptor to ask him what the people thought of him, the God of Commerce, who brought them profit. He therefore inquired about the price of a statue of Jupiter, Hera and Mercury, assuming that his statue was the most expensive, but the sculptor replied that he would get it for nothing if he bought the other two...
