Sale Piasa, Paris, 24 June 2005, lot 7 (as “Master of the Benda Madonna”) The present painting was executed on the basis of Netherlandish models from the second half of the 15th century. It could be from either the Upper Rhine (which would corroborate the former attribution to the Master of the Benda Madonna) or Bavaria.
