Lit.: Thieme-Becker, vol I, p 304, Christoph Gbariel Allegrain, French sculptor, (Paris 8.10.1710-17.4.1795 Paris), also created a marble statue of a "Bather", today displayed at the Louvre, Salon 1767, previously at Chateau Louveciennes, belonging to Madame du Barry.
