An allegory of "Peace",
a seated lady with ermine cloak, ermine crown, strings of beads and set with gemstones extending her left hand to the Roman goddess Pomona, the latter holding 2 cornucopias in the right hand, one filled with fruit and flowers, the other with gold and jewels, in the background a sacrificial column with fire, gilt edging and gilt decoration, 2 ram heads tied with laurel festoons, gilt beads and light purple bows, on the facing side and reverse with medallions, containing a polychrome painted Cupid with basket of flowers and a cornucopia with flowers, the oval rock base encrusted with leaves and with gilt edging, porcelain, polychromed and gilt, height: 33 cm, length: 31 cm, restorations;
Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords with line, 2nd half 19th cent., model G 31, by Christian Gottfried Jüchtzer 1780, probably a glorification of Tsarina Catherine II., 1729-1796 (Ru)
