Two silver chokers of the Meo or Akha, with characteristic ‘bird’s head’ ends. Cast in the best-quality silver (English coin silver from colonial times) and engraved. One of the chokers is unadorned and is probably of the Akha (thin style). The other, fatter choker is of the Meo and has decorative engraving consisting of a central flower and leaves to the sides on the bottom. Two perfect old pieces, no damage.
Diameter: 15.5 cm x 16 cm; 14 cm x 15 cm. First third of the 20th century. (ME)
