Mixed lot (2 pieces), Tibet, Nepal: two bangles made of bone, set in thick, high-quality silver, one of which is decorated with two turquoises and two agates.
1: A bangle assembled from small pieces of bone. The outer side of the bracelet is cast in thick engraved silver and covered in dense motifs. With fish, snakes, and leaf and floral tendrils, and set with two blue turquoise and red agate stones arranged opposite to each other.
Height: 2.5 cm; diameter: c. 10.5 cm.
2: A bangle, produced in the same way as the previous, only thinner, somewhat smaller and without decorative gemstones: assembled from small pieces of bone, with round cross-section. The outer side of the bracelet is overlaid in thick cast and engraved silver. With animal motifs (stag, snake etc.) and dense leafy tendrils.
Height: c. 1.5 cm; diameter: c. 9 cm.
Two interesting bangles with good, old usage patina.
