The slightly wavy blade displays damascened inlays of gold and silver on both sides. On one side there are two medallions, one by the hilt, with leafy and floral tendrils, and one in the middle with Arabic script. The other side of the blade is decorated with an ornamental medallion made of silver and gold in the form of leafy and floral tendrils. The hilt, made of old ivory, consists of numerous pieces and displays on its upper end a delicately carved elephant head, as well as extensive floral and leafy tendrils in relief on both sides. An especially beautiful object, with a very good, old patina (the ivory has already darkened with speckles). Excellent condition, no damage.
Length: 33.5 cm.
