1905 FAREWELL AMERICAN TOUR 1906, colourless glass, of conical form, the faceted body with amber overlay, cut rim, the facing side with a cut scene depicting the Parisian actress in the role of "The Lady of the Camellias", in the background a starry sky and canopy, the bottom left a left hand, holding a rose stem, as a gesture of veneration, the reverse side engraved inscription, smooth round base on an octagonal plinth, smooth base, height: 18 cm, Bohemia ca. 1960, after Alfons Mucha (Ru)

Alfons Maria Mucha, (South Moravia 24.7.1860-14.7.1939 Prague), graphic and applied artist, goes to Paris at the age of 28, where he becomes famous for his posters depicting Sarah Bernhart; The "Camellias" poster became the foundation of the "Mucha" style.
