Pair of outstanding English wall mirrors,
Known as convex or butler’s mirrors, 1st third of the 19th century. Round mirrors with convex mirror panels, gold and black painted frame with 2 candle appliques and glass ornament. Also decorated with pineapple shaped applications and crowned with an eagle. Each ca. 107 x 74 cm. Some ageing and evidence of restoration, the glass ornament replaced. (PZ)
