Single piece with three carburetor engine!

Starting from 1934, BMW offered the 315 as a successor to the 303. In Munich, the six-cylinder was enlarged with a 1.5-liter displacement, thus creating a real 100 km/h car. In terms of different body types, it had everything the heart desired.

This BMW for auction was delivered as a 4-seater convertible to Dresden. Well after the turmoil of the war had ended, the car was given a new body, was completely independent, and its very elegant curve, typical for BMWs, made it immediately recognizable as such. Analogous to the BMW 315/1 sports car, this car also has a performance enhancing three carburettor system.

The already consignor acquired the BMW in 1985, coming from the Czech Republic, complete to a large extent, but very desolate. The sports convertible was restored with an immense amount of effort. Wood and sheet metal was refurbished, just like the leather interior and canopy. The technology has undergone extensive repairs and renewals, refitted with a main flow oil filter and oil cooler and a new, long translated differential was installed. Even the instruments with the rare rev meter were overhauled. The accompanying images all the way through to the typification in October 1999 fill two photo albums! Since that time the eye catcher has reeled out several thousand kilometers. The consignor repeatedly attempted to shine light onto the early history of his BMW, yet to no avail.
