China, c. 214 x 65 cm, 17th/18th century, silk panel with recessed pile, where multicolour pattern wefts, some of which made of pressed golden wire, create a pattern of lotus flowers, tendrils and bats in archaic form, textiles such as the present one were used in the house as a front decoration or cover for the heated sitting board, good pile, damage to the low woven parts of the pattern, golden wire detectable almost only on the back, one panel was successfully sold at Dorotheum in September 2015.
