One of the most decorative maps of Bohemia. John Speed (1552-1629), the author of the map, was English cartographer and historian. An original old-style coloured copper engraving on paper with the ornamental title cartouche and another cartouche with explanatory notes ("The explicatien of y notes"), the Czech lion and the German eagle at the top corners of the map. Above the map there is a bar with 5 important Czech cities of that period (Čáslav, Chomutov, Prague, Polná, Slaný, Louny) and Prague Castle, on the sides there are bars with figures of different estates in period costumes
