1993 Mercedes-Benz 300 CE-24 Convertible

1993 Mercedes-Benz 300 CE-24 Convertible - Autoveicoli d'epoca e automobilia

First registration in Austria, original 89.015 km

At the IAA in September 1991, Mercedes once again presented a 4-seater convertible after nearly two decades of abstinence. Based on the W124 series, a massive construction effort produced a convertible without a roll bar. Initially this crowning achievement of the series came with a 3 litre, 24 valve top tier engine, often in combination with matching features, which raised the purchase price to dizzying heights.

The present Mercedes was ordered on 22 June 1992, in metallic blue-black with grey leathers, hydraulic roof, passenger airbag, aluminium rims, and back speakers - for the negligible sum of 935.712 AS! The Mercedes was registered on 22 June 1993, and shortly after that the first owner had air condition installed. On 10 October 1994, the owner deeded the convertible to his new wife, who was registered as its second owner. The CE-24 owes its low odometer reading and its exceptionally fine condition to the fact that it was used exclusively during summer. Choosing the manual 5-gear transmission made it possible to drive the car in both a decidedly leisurely as well as a sporty manner. Such Mercedes models enjoy considerable popularity and particularly in this case this seems entirely justified. The car combines a well-documented history with great features and a fine condition!
