a putto seated with a quill and open book on his knees, clutching at his forehead as an indication of intent thought, to one side a desk set with an ink well, quill and tray, before which sits a putto on a book, counting on his fingers, a putto standing behind him holding a scroll in his left hand and checking the text on it, curved front with gilt rims, pink bands and green foliate relief, porcelain, polychrome and gilt figural group, height 20.5 cm, length 18 cm, small repairs, Meissen, underglaze blue sword mark, 1st half of 19th cent., model no. 12, former no. 85, painter no. 1, model by Michel Victor Acier circa 1774 (Ru)
