gold, emeralds, pearls, the hinged lid engraved with a depiction of the Mother of God reclining on a blanket, talking to a shepherd, 2 midwives bathing the newborn child, St Joseph crouching by their side, the reverse side engraved with a depiction of birth of Mary, St Anne during confinement, 3 neighbours, St Joachim, one woman preparing the little bed, another bathing the newborn, inscription (erroneous): Birth of Christ, inscribed in the margin: Garments and Bones of St Olympiada ?, pendant, 6 x 4,5 cm, gross weight: 61 g, probably Kremlin workshops, 15th/16th cent., (Lu)
