France, 2nd half of the 19th century. Made in softwood with rosewood veneer, decorated with marquetry panels and cube patterning in various, partly exotic woods, with two drawers at the front, tapering legs, bombé shaping at the sides, a shaped marble top and gilt bronze mounts. 73 x 64 x 38 cm.
