Chinese saddle blanket,
China, c. 63 x 124 cm, beginning of the 20th century, the size and shape of this piece correspond to those of a horse saddle, these knotworks are always made out of two parts in order to preserve its slant, on both sides a disc medallion is visible with stylised lotus flowers and peonies, embedded in a sea of pinecones, classical fretwork border, good condition.
