Northwest Persia (Iran), c. 420 x 252 cm, end of the 19th century, magnificent Kurdish carpet on sheep wool warp with Herati medallion on blue ground and bright yellow spandrels, the original woven finishes on both sides have survived, excellent pile condition in keeping with its age, no discernible defects. A splendid piece.
