manufactured by Metz & Co, Netherlands, c. 1930, reduced moulded and beige coated laminated wood construction, coated tubular steel base, height approx. 73 cm, width approx. 40 cm, depth approx. 60 cm, height of seat approx. 43 cm. (MHA)

This model can be found in the collections of many important design museums around the globe. One example is on view at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Provenance:
Frank Müsers, architect and gallery owner In the 1980s. Frank Müsers was an early dealer for Bauhaus objects and tubular steel furniture and contributed to the book Deutsche Stahlrohrmöbel (1993) by Alexander von Vegesack. Müsers had provided the basic information for the survey of tubular steel furniture production in the book and according to Alexander von Vegesack is a leading expert for early tubular steel furniture.
