the body with gilt, light purple and light turquoise heightened rocailles, lavishly decorated with small and large sculptural polychrome garlands of flowers and bouquets, as finial an allegory of “air” (a seated boy holding a fluttering bird in his right hand, on the side the winged helmet of Hermes on clouds), on the base the “earth” (a boy seated on a badger, holding a cornucopia with flowers and ears of corn in his hands), on the left an allegory of “water” (a boy seated with a garland of reeds on his head and a reed belt around his hips, holding a fish, coral and white strings of pearls in his hands), on the right an allegory of “fire” (a boy with an angry look holding a torch in his right hand, striding forth with a fire-breathing dragon); 3 volute feet, height 47 cm, small restored areas, glass dome with base height 60 cm, length 41 cm, movement unchecked, with casing lid, marked Lenzkirchen, with 1 pendulum, yellow metal dial decorated in relief with rays, flowers and leaf rocailles, blue numerals on white enamel and black hands with leaf rocailles, surrounded by the serpent of infinity. Meissen, underglaze blue crossed swords mark c. 1870, model no. 2172, model by Ernst August Leuteritz 1855-1863 (Ru)
