According to Andrea Baboni, the painting could date to a later period in the artist’s oeuvre. It is more of an impression than a refined composition, but it is brought together through the freshness of its modelling and fine colouring. The work has been subsequently signed. This is in keeping with Fragiacomo’s request that his sisters sign his paintings.
