light-bodied ceramic, white and black-brown glazed; two greyhounds standing on a rectangular base; scuffed, irregularities to the glaze; one dog with slight chipping to the snout, the base with a continuous firing crack to one corner, the underside of the base very slightly chipped; base incised with Lavergne on the back; marked on the underside: black stamped company signet Goldscheider in a sunk oval (GS 22); length 32 cm, height 26 cm.
