rare pocket watch with alarm function, c. 1750 -- watch case: silver c. 800, one outer watch case, with openwork, diameter c. 57 mm movement: key wind-up, two barrels, chain and fusee, verge movement, floral decorated plate and movement parts, blued screws, one hammer on bell dial: enamel, indicator for alarm time accessories: four keys, partly silver, metal -- Geneva onion watches with alarm function are rarely found on the market. Abraham Marchand (c. 1681-1753) was a well-known Geneva watchmaker. The outer watch case is partly damaged. The watch is in working order. The setting for the alarm is in need of repair.
