sog. poudreuse (‘coiffeuse’), designed by Josef HARDTMUTH (1758-1816) c. 1770/80 for the Liechtenstein Majoratspalais on Bankgasse in Vienna, subsequently Feldsberg Castle (Czech Valtice), freestanding mahogany-veneered hardwood and softwood frame on gently curved legs, 3-piece top with folding middle section with mirror, 2 lateral folding elements, on the inside a compartment in the middle, flacon inserts under the folding platters, 1 middle drawer, 3 small drawers and sham drawer, 1 extensible central shelf with gold-embossed leather insert, fire-gilt bronze mounts with princely crown by Ignaz Joseph WÜRTH, Liechtenstein brand mark, and inventory label ‘Schloss Feldsberg Obj. Nr. 130, Inv. Nr.2895’, c. 76 x 89 x 52 cm, restored condition. (DOC)
