Empress Elisabeth’s fondness for Hungarian folklore was also visible in her clothes. She liked to wear Hungarian-style clothing not only during her stays in Hungary, but also occasionally in Vienna. The present velvet jacket was displayed in the following exhibitions: "Das Zeitalter Kaiser Franz Josephs", Grafenegg Castle 1984, cat. no. 21.22 and "Elisabeth von Österreich, Einsamkeit, Macht und Freiheit," 99th special exhibition of the Historical Museum of the City of Vienna, Hermesvilla 1987, cat. no. 16/20.
