Lot No. 45 -

A “R01” modular rug,

A “R01” modular rug, - Design First

designed by Chmara.Rosinke (Maciej Chmara & Ania Rosinke), 2017, hand-tufted New Zealand wool, rayon, three parts, approx. 200 x 460 cm. (DRAX)

A unique object.

Exhibited:
Salone Satellite, Vienna Design Week, Milan 2017

“R01” consists of three elements: a rectangle, a half-circle, and a triangle, which can be presented individually or assembled to form a whole.
This modular concept allows for great flexibility and allows the user to adapt the rug to the size and shape of a space. The pattern was developed in a series of drawn studies – dynamic, colourful compositions using geometric forms. On the one hand, this rug celebrates postmodern saturation, while on the other hand it is the functional answer to the need of always adapting and changing living spaces. “R01” can be used as a rug on the floor as well as a decorative wall piece.

Estimate:
EUR 7,000.- to EUR 10,000.-
