Upper Austrian rustic cabinet,
Known as a Reiterkasten, composed of elements dating from the 19th century. Made in pine and later painted in the manner of the Reiterkasten cabinets. A demountable cabinet with wedge joints, a tall removable moulded cornice, a serpentine plinth, 2 doors with painted bands and equestrian motifs, rounded angles with floral painting, bronzed carved capitals and scrolled feet. Approx. 201 x 169 x 70 cm. Some flaking and some ageing and wear. (DOC)
