Central Persia (Iran), c. 362 x 251 cm, end of the 19th century, this master workshop mostly manufactured carpets in rug size, the colour quality and superb wool of Mohtashem products has remained unsurpassed; excellent condition with original pile wool, minor traces of usage are detectable only around the central medallion, silk selvedges, both long sides secured with a border on the back.
