South Persia (Iran), c. 420 x 313 cm, last third of the 19th century, a rare large pictorial carpet with five horizontal rows of Persian mythological scenes, main border with cartouches and side borders with portraits and grotesques, the upper end slightly reduced, both finishes are additionally secured with a linen band on the back, used, with partially low pile areas.
