child busts of the two eldest siblings of Louis XI of France, the son and daughter of the Grand Dauphin Louis of France, Duke de Bourbon 1729-1765, from the marriage with Maria Josepha of Saxony-Poland 1731-1767, the prince wearing a bonnet with gilt trimmings and Indian pattern, feather and rosette, white lace shirt, brown patterned jacket with gilt trimmings and purple sash with a flower bouquet, the princess wearing a white bonnet with delicate pattern tied to a necklace, white blouse with ruffles and light blue bodice, over the shoulder a light purple shawl with flower bouquet, height 15 cm, minor restorations
Meissen, blue crossed swords mark, first half of the 19th century, the Prince model no. 2764, former no. 39, red painter no. 20, the Princess model no. 2764x, former no. 64, painter no. 36, model by Johann Joachim Kändler c. 1753, they were commissioned by the grandfather Augustus III King of Poland and Prince-Elector of Saxony (Ru)
