Small corner cabinet,
German, 2nd half of the 18th century, circle of the workshop of Abraham Roentgen. A softwood cabinet with serpentine front, veneered in rosewood and tulipwood, also richly decorated with marquetry flowers in various partly dyed and engraved fine woods, with 1 door and interior compartments. Height 90.5 cm, depth 51 cm. With later paw-like bronze feet. Some ageing and wear. (MIN)
The floral marquetry is strongly reminiscent of the work of Abraham Roentgen.
