With these fibulae Moroccan women traditionally closed their robes on their shoulders. The present pair of large fibulae is made of cast and engraved silver. 2 red and green glass stones on each piece serve as ‘gems’. Tribal type: Ait Baha, southern Atlantic coast. With good usage patina. First third of the 20th century. L: each 20.2 cm. (ME)
