Martin Janecký graduated in 1998, studying glassmaking at the secondary school in Nový Bor. After his studies he collaborated with various glassmaking artists abroad (for example W. Morris), where he focused on techniques of blowing and shaping hot glass. Martin Janecký works with the specific technique of “inside sculpting”, which is modeling blown sculptures inside the bubble, with tools to create the desired shape within. These works are pure glass sculpture. He focuses on figural works during last ten years. The figure on offer is a gallery example of this work.
